Terms and Conditions
If you are unwell - please cancel or reschedule your lesson.
If I suspect you are unwell when I arrive I reserve the right to cancel the lesson. The full lesson fee will still be required to be paid, or if your lesson are part of a package deal, the lesson will be forfeited.
No-Shows
If I turn up at the scheduled start and time and you are a no-show you will be charged $75, unless, at my discretion I deem the reason for the no-show to be exceptional and valid.
Cancellations
Cancellations should be made with at least 24hrs notice to allow the opportunity for someone else to book into your timeslot. Where possible you should reschedule the lesson.
Where you cancel with less than 24hrs notice, and the lesson slot is not filled by another client, a cancelation fee of $40 may be charged, at my at my discretion, if I deem the reason for the cancellation to be unreasonable.
If you cancel on the day, especially where it is short notice, this will be effectively considered a "no-show" and you will be expected to pay full fee.
Under NZ Consumer Law: If you cancel a service, booking or appointment before it is due, you’re breaking a contract. If the service provider suffers a loss because you have cancelled, they are entitled to still charge you for at least some of the cost of the service.
Payment
For driving lessons and assessments payment details will be provided the day before the first session.
For single/one-off lessons
Payment is required before or immediately after the lesson (same day) -
For special deals
Two payment options:
1) Pay $75 for the 1st lesson either before or immediately after then pay the balance, $275 or $575 before the 2nd lesson.
2) Pay $350 or $650 in full before or immediately after the 1st lesson.
3) Pre-paid lessons can be scheduled to suit, eg, once a week, 2 or 3 lessons in a week, spread over a month etc.
Refunds for pre-paid lessons
Individual lessons or multi-lessons deals where no lessons have yet taken place:
If you cancel all lessons, rather than reschedule, with at least 24hrs notice, I will refund the full amount.
If you cancel all lessons, rather than reschedule, with less than 24 hours notice, I will refund the full amount, less $35 administration cost.
If you cancel all lessons, rather than reschedule, on the day of the first lesson, you will be charged for that lesson and I will refund the balance, less $35 administration cost.
Where the full number of lessons in a special deal cannot be completed, refund for the remaining scheduled lesson(s) is/are calculated as follows: 5-lesson deal: 350 - (75 x number of lessons taken), Eg if 4 lessons taken refund is 350 – (75 x 4) = 350 – 300 = $50.
For the 10-lesson deal; Where 5 or more lessons have been completed; 650 – (70 x number of lessons taken), Eg for 6 lessons completed, refund is 650 – (70 x 6) = 650 – 420 = $230. Where less than 5 lessons have been completed the refund for the untaken lessons is/are 650 – ($75 x lessons taken), EG for 4 lessons completed refund would be 650 – (75 x 4) = 650 – 300 = $350.
No-Shows
